RR10 League
The RR10 series is a friendly and very sociable event, with a very wide variety of standards, and is an ideal starter race for those who might have felt nervous or intimidated about racing.
Racing is a good marker for how well you are running, and the RR10 events are staged at some lovely off-road venues around Southampton and towards the New Forest over distance of 4 to 5 miles.
Teams for the Wednesday evening series consist of five men per team and three women per team, if you would like to compete you will need to be registered with Parkrun, and also complete a very brief registration for the RR10 league at https://www.rr10.org.uk/register.html .Then just turn up on the day with your Stubbie vest AND parkrun barcode. To get a final score in series you will need to run 6 races. We have our own race which we don’t run but do need to marshal. See below for dates and info on these. CC6 Cross Country League
The CC6 league is on a Sunday at 9.30am and you run 4 to 5 miles off-road. Your club representative is Rob Williams and he will need help when we co-host our race with marshalling and course set up. You don’t need to be UKA affiliated but need to wear your club green vest and be parkrun registered and take your barcode for scanning to get your result. You need to register your parkrun barcode which is done on RR10 website but if you have done it for the RR10s you won’t need to do it again. Hampshire Cross Country League
The Hampshire XC league is on Saturday afternoon, our representative is France Lord, for any questions and letting her know you will be running races and which ones. You must be a paid-up UKA affiliated member and wear your Stubbie green vest. The ladies’ races starts at 13.35 and is 6K and men’s is 14.30 and 10K.
The dates for the 2025/26 fixture dates Hampshire Cross Country League races and the championship races have been fixed, so it’s time to put them in your diaries. There are five cross country league races, full details are available here.
2025/26 Hampshire League race dates:
11th October – Kings Park, Bournemouth
15th November – Wellesley Woods , Aldershot
6th December – Winchester
10th January – TBC
7th February – Prospect Park, Reading.

Southern Cross Country League
The Southern Cross-Country league is also on a Sunday at 11am, with Lisa Donn as your representative and you run 4 to 5 miles. You need to wear your club green vest. If you are a paid-up UKA affiliated member, you won’t need to pay £2 fee each race.

XC Championships
The four XC championship races are not too far away.
These races give you a chance to rub shoulders with the best runners in the county / region / country, however they are open to all abilities. They are a fantastic experience and always a good day out.
Ladies run 6-8km and men 10-15k.
Course style: Some hills, generally rough fields/parks, can be very muddy.
It doesn’t matter how fast you are, you still run the same distance and can hold your head high when you cross that line.
We normally hire a minibus for the Southerns but depends on numbers
Entries must be received by the end of November.
Every entrant must an up-to-date UKA paid member.
We really hope to see as many of you as possible at some or all of the four championship events. Please note at the Master Championship you need to be 40 plus years old. Your XC representative will be in touch around October/ November to get the entries sorted for these races.
Final dates are to be confirmed for the 2025/26 season but they usually take place as follows:
Beginning of December – Masters XC Championships – normally in Oxford. Now this race is for 40 plus year olds, no spring chickens at this one! £10 entry
Beginning of January – Hampshire XC Championships – Fairthorne Manor. Races for juniors, seniors and vets. Price last year was £12.
End of January – Southern XC Championships – Beckenham Place Park, Kent. Races for juniors, seniors and vets. £10 entry
End of February – Nationals XC Championships – Parliament Hill, London. . Races for juniors, seniors and vets.
